USB OTG Compliance Test

USB OTG product must pass the following tests:




•Physical inspection for:
◦micro-AB receptacle
◦user interface display

•Signal Quality as a host (A-Device)

•Signal Quality as a device (B-Device)

•OTG Electrical Test (OET)

•OTG Protocol Test (OPT)

•Interoperability with devices listed on the targeted peripheral list

•Submission of completed USB OTG Compliance Checklist


OTG 具有HOST 及Device 的能力, 具有以下的能力:

• Limited Host capability

• Full-speed operation as peripheral (high-speed optional)
• Full-speed support as host (low-speed and high-speed optional)
• Targeted Peripheral List
• Session Request Protocol
• Host Negotiation Protocol
• One, and only one, Mini-AB receptacle
• Minimum 8 mA output current on VBUS
• Means for communicating messages to user

另外USB 2.0  OTG Compliance Test不單單只有 USB HOST + USB DEVICE 的測試, 還包含了OTG Electrical Test 及Protocol Test.

整個測試的項目大致可以分為幾類
1. Signal Quality Test
2. Device Packet Parameters
3. Device Chirp Timing
4. Device Suspend/Resume/Reset Timing
5. Device Test_J/K and Test_SE0_NAK
6. Device Receiver Sensitivity

重點是需要的設備
1. Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope (前5項主要是這台高階示波器)
2. Digital Signal Generator (第六項需要這台)
3. High-speed USB Electrical Test Fixtures
4. OTG Electrical Test Fixtures
5. Current and Voltage Meter
